Stability of corticosteroids under anaerobic conditions

Abstract

One of the identified decomposition products formed during the anaerobic decomposition of prednisolone is a D-homosteroid.

The Chromatographic properties, the isolation and the structure elucidation of the D-homosteroid are given. Also a mechanism leading to this compound is postulated.
