Analysis of technical grade sorbose by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry of the trimethylsilyl derivatives

Summary

This paper describes the gas chromatographic sepration of the components of technical grade sorbose. The components of the mixture were converted to the trimethylsilyl derivatives and separated on a capillary column containing SE-52 as the stationary phase. For the qualitative analysis the mass spectra, obtained by combined gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, were used.
