Summary

Good correlation has been found between the retention indicies of a number of alcohols and methyl esters with complex cyclic structures, determined on a non-polar phase, and the connectivity indices. However, the correlation on polar phases is unsatisfactory when considering linear relationships., Logarithmic equations may better describe the relationship although they still represent approximations.
