Muonic atoms and muon-catalyzed fusion in inhomogeneous mixtures of hydrogen isotopes

Abstract

The emission of µd and µt atoms from multilayer solid targets consisting of the mixtures of hydrogen isotopes has been investigated with a kinetics model. The methods to study the elastic scattering of muonic atoms, muon transfer, and molecular formation reactions with µ-atomic beams are discussed.
