Sh. scholtensii und Sh. manolovii — zwei zur Untergruppe D zu stellende provisorische Shigella-Typen

Zusammenfassung
- 1.
Auf Grund ihrer Darmpathogenität beim Menschen, ihrer Schleimhautpathogenität beim Versuchstier, ihres gewebsimmunologischen Verhaltens und gewisser kulturell-biochemischer Eigenschaften müssen die Serotypen 792 („Katwijk“) und 147 („Shigella 13“) in die Shigella-Untergruppe D gestellt werden. Für den Katwijk-Typ wird die provisorische Benennung in Sh.scholtensii, für Serotyp 147 die provisorische Benennung in Sh. manolovii vorgeschlagen.

Es wird weiterhin empfohlen, den Keratoconjunctivalversuch am Meerschweinchen als kardinales Kriterium mit in die Shigella-Definition einzubeziehen und die Definition der Untergruppe D auch auf Salicin spaltende Serotypen zu erweitern, insbesondere, wenn diese auch noch weitere geringfügige Atypien aufweisen.

Es wird zur Diskussion gestellt, die Typen der Untergruppe D in Sh. metadysenteriae umzubenennen.
