Cilien des äusseren Dottersackes versetzen Octopoden-Embryonen in Rotation innerhalb ihrer Eihülle. Die erste Umdrehung oder «Blastokinese» ist die Folge einer einmaligen, innert Stunden ablaufenden Schwenkung der Cilienschlagrichtung um 180°.
