Determination of the strength of aprotic acidic centers on catalyst surfaces from the IR spectra of adsorbed carbon monoxide

Abstract

Correlations between the adsorption heats of carbon monoxide on aprotic acidic centers and the ΔvCO values in IR spectra have been studied. In the case of aprotic centers formed by cations of non-transition metals, ΔvCO is shown to be linearly dependent on the adsorption heat.

Abstract

Исследованы корреляции между теплотами адсорбции окиси углерода на апротонных кислотных центрах и величинами ΔvCO в ИК спектрах. Показано, что в случае апоротонных центров, образованных катионами непереходных металлов, ΔvCO линейно зависит от теплоты адсорбции.
