Promoting effect of mercury trifluoroacetate on transnitrilation reactions

Abstract

It has been found that mercury trifluoroacetate promotes exchange reactions between amides and nitriles under mild conditions. Promoting properties of these salts are ascribed to complex formation with nitriles.
