Ru(III) catalyzed oxidation of acetanilide and substituted acetanilides by potassium iodate in aqueous acetic acid medium at constant ionic strength

Abstract

The order with respect to [Ru(III)] is unity while zero order with respect to [IO3] and complex dependence on [substrate] have been observed. The variation of [HClO4] and solvent composition have no pronounced effect on the rate. A plausible mechanism is suggested.

Заглавная реакция имеет первый пор〚ок по отношению [Ru(III)], нулевой порядок по отношению [IO3] и имеет сложную зависимость от концентрации субстрата. Изменение концентрации CClO4 и состава растворителей не оказывает заметного зффекта на скорость реакции. Предлагается вероятный механизм протекания реакции.
