Micelle-Catalyzed oxidative demethylation of N,N-dimethylaniline in its reactions with oxygen and hydroperoxides

Abstract

Reversed micelles of the sodium salt of di-(2-ethyl-hexyl)sulfosuccinic acid (Aerosol OT) in octane catalyze the oxidative demethylation of N,N-dimethylaniline in its reactions with molecular oxygen and/or cumene hydroperoxide. Without surfactant no demethylation takes place at 40°C.

Обращенные мицеллы натриевой соли ди-(2-этил)-гексилового эфира суляфоянтарной кислоты (аэрозоля OT) в октане ускоряют окислителяное деметилирование N,N-диметиланилина в реакциях с кислородом и/или гидроперекисью кумила. В отсутствие мицеллообразователя деметилирования N,N-диметиланилина в октане при 40°C не происходит.
