Abstract

Adsorption isotherms of n-hexane, methylcyclohexane and benzene on γ-alumina were obtained in the range of 354–443 K using gas chromatography. The data obtained were corrected for axial diffusion and were found to fit the Freundlich isotherm better than the Langmuir isotherm. Isosteric heats of adsorption were calculated from adsorption data.
