Zusammenfassung
Die Problematik und die therapeutischen Möglichkeiten bei der Behandlung einer Progenie mit offenem Biß bei Anwendung von Multibandapparaturen werden durch die Dokumentation eines Behandlungsbeispiels aufgezeigt. Eine kritische Analyse des Behandlungsergebnisses ergibt eine überwiegend dentale Korrektur einer auf skelettal-basalen Abweichungen beruhenden Anomalie.
Summary
The problems and possibilities in the treatment of cl. III cases with an open bite, when using an edgewise appliance, are shown by the example given of a treatment. A critical analysis of the treatment result shows a more extensive correction of dental anomalies than improvement of skeletal discrepancies.
Résumé
À l'aide d'un cas traité par appareillage multibague, on étudie les problèmes et les moyens thérapeutiques utilisés dans le traitement d'une classe III accompagnée de béance. L'analyse du résultat montre que la correction de cette anomalie squelettique est principalement dentaire.
