Conclusions
- 1.
The activity of CS 2 35 retained on the walls of the measuring equipment filled with active vapors of carbon bisulfide was determined directly.
- 2.
The capture of the compound by the walls is determined to a great extent by reversible sorption, so that in normal measurements of the residual background the information on this sorption is lost.
- 3.
The sorption effects are very large and differ for various materials. Values were obtained for the relative pollution by CS 2 35 vapors of various materials used in measuring installations with internally-filled counters.
- 4.
A relationship was obtained between the pollution of various materials and the density of the active carbon bisulfide vapors in a chamber.
