Alpha-spectroscopic factors in the DWBA

Article

Abstract

The analysis of α-transfer experiments in the frame of the Distorted Wave Born Approximation (DWBA) yields experimental values for the spectroscopic factors. We show that a consistent reaction theory leads to a theoretical formula for these spectroscopic factors which is different from the one conventionally used. The main point is that we take into account properly the effects of the antisymmetrization.
