Triboengineering properties of aluminum alloys with a coating of titanium nitride
Abstract
Aluminum alloys have good adaptability to manufacture combined with a low density and high operating properties. However, the majority of aluminum alloys, including high-strength ones, have low triboengineering properties, which restricts their use in friction members. Possible methods for improving these properties are a subject of interest for investigation.
