Absorptionsbanden und Oszillatorstärken von KCl:Tl-Einkristallen bei verschiedenen Tl-Konzentrationen

Abstract

Pure single crystals of KCl quite homogeneously doped with known amounts of Tl were prepared in this laboratory by a method described in the preceding paper. Optical absorption was investigated over a range of Tl concentration from 4.10⁻⁶⋯1.10⁻² mole percent at 90°K and at 293°K. The absorption cross section does not depend on Tl concentration within this range. The A and C bands are structured. For the A, B and C bands, oscillator-strength was determined with an accuracy of 2 to 4%. A procedure for the exact determination of Tl concentration from absorption measurements is stated explicitly.
