Abstract
The continuous radiation from a flash X-ray (FXR) discharge has been investigated when anodes made of Be, Al, Ta, W, and U are used. It is found that the heavier materials give rise to the strongest continuum. The continuous radiation in the 7–300 Å and 2,000–5,000 Å regions have been recorded and are shown in spectrograms.
