Multiple-prism dispersion and 4×4 ray transfer matrices

Abstract

The 4×4 ray transfer matrix method is extended to describe generalized multiple-prism dispersive systems of practical interest. Particular attention is given to the generalized optical path coefficient (Br)and the dispersion component (Fr).
