Abstract

The technique of rapid scan FT-IR has been applied to the study of a photochemical process. Surface dependent aspects of solid state coumarin photochemistry have been elucidated by rapid scanning FT-IR spectroscopy. Reaction pathways can be controlled as a function of the surface.
