Multiple chain termination on inhibitor molecules during oxidation of dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate

Conclusions

When dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate (DMAEM) is oxidized one inhibitor molecule repeatedly takes part in the acts of chain termination, which is due to the oxidation_reduction properties of the aminoperoxy radicals (RO2). The rate constants of the reactions of ten inhibitors of different classes with RO2 DMAEM at 50° were measured.
