Summary
Reactions between η-Cp2V and PX3 (X=Cl, Br or I) yield the corresponding dihalogenated derivatives η-Cp2VX2 (X=Cl, Br or I). The oxidative addition of ICl and IBr to η-Cp2V gives mixed halogenated derivatives η-Cp2VIX (X=Cl or Br). All the compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic moment measurements and i.r. and e.p.r. spectra.
