Der Einfluß einer kurzen Intubations-Narkose auf die kleinen Atemwege und die funktionelle Residualluft-Kapazität

The changing of closing volume and functional residual air capacity during endoscopy in general anesthesia

  • 13 Accesses

Summary

Twenty patients were studied during general anesthesia. The measurement included the closing volume and the functional residual air capacity. Closing volume increased and the functional residual air capacity decreased significantly in relation to the length of anesthesia. This shows a severe obstruction of bronchioli in healthy elderly patients. A preoperative ventilatory measurement must be postulated.
