Abstract

Mössbauer spectra of monoclinic and orthorhombic iron oxalate are investigated at different temperatures. While at 110 K these spectra show the same quadrupole splitting, a small difference appears at room temperature. The results are consistent with a high spin ionic structure of bivalent iron.
