Conclusions

  1. 1.

In liquid NH3 the acidity of the methyl group in the 5 position of 4-phenylethynyl-1,5-dimethylpyrazole is close to the acidity of the methyl group ofα-picoline.

  2. 2.

The direction of the metalation of 4-phenylethynyl-1,5-dimethylpyrazole depends on the nature of the solvent and the metalating agent.
