Disconjugacy and optimal control

Abstract

A new concept of disconjugacy and oscillatoriness is proposed for systems of first-order equations. It is motivated by a reformulation of a problem in time-optimal linear control theory having to do with the parametric description of reachability sets and their frontiers.
