Conclusions
- 1.
The reaction of 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-indandione with diethyl- and di-n-butylphosphorous acids in the presence of amines gave 2,2-dimethyl-3-hydroxyindan-1-one-3-diethylphosphonate and 2,2-dimethyl-3-hydroxyindan-1-one-3-di-n-butylphosphonate.
- 2.
The phosphonate-phosphate isomerization of 2,2-dimethyl-3-hydroxyindan-1-one-3-diethylphosphonate to 2,2-dimethylindan-1-one-3-diethylphosphate was detected at room temperature in the presence of amines.
