Vibrational spectra of crystalline nickelecene and cobalticene

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The IR spectra of crystalline nickelecene and cobalticene, as well as the Raman spectrum of nickelecene, were obtained at low temperatures, and an interpretation of them was given.

  2. 2.

    The fine structure of the IR bands of nickelecene at low temperatures agrees with the x-ray diffraction data, obtained for the crystal at R~20‡.

  3. 3.

    In the Raman spectrum of nickelecene in comparison with other metallocenes, a reverse order of arrangement of the frequencies of the metal-ring vibrationsΝ 4 andΝ 16 is observed.
