Conclusions

  1. 1.

To. establish the structure of the diol obtained from the β-cis-hydroxylation of 3-carene we studied the transformations of its monoesters during dehydration under the influence of POC13 in pyridine and hydrogenolyisis with aluminum lithium hydride.

  2. 2.

The character of the molecular rearrangements is determined by the configuration of the esters of the cis-3,4-caranediols.
