Study of complex formation in aqueous π-allylpalladium bromide solutions

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    A spectrophotometric study was made of complex formation in aqueous π-allylpalladium bromide solutions in the pH range 2–14 and a bromide-ion concentration of 0–1.0 g-ion/liter.

  2. 2.

    The obtained results were interpreted within the framework of a scheme, in harmony with which the following complexes exist in aqueousπ-allylpalladium bromide solutions: C3H5PdBr 2 , C3H5PdBr·H2O, C3H5PdBr(OH), C3H5Pd(OH)·H2O, C3H5Pd(OH) 2 , C3H5Pd(H2O) 2 + . The values of the constants of the mutual transformations of these complexes were determined.
