Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The authors have obtained 1-chloro-2-methylboracyclopentane, 1-chloroboracyclohexane, 1,4-bis(dichloroboryl)pentane and 1,5-bis-(dichloroboryl)pentane from the hydroboronation product of piperylene and BCl3.

     
  2. 2.

    1-Chloro-2-methylboracyclopentane isomerizes to 1-chloroboracyclohexane when heated.
