The preparation of sodium and potassium borohydrides by the reduction of boron halides by sodium and potassium hydrides in the presence of aluminum triethyl

Summary

It was found that sodium and potassium hydrides readily react with boron halides in hydrocarbon solvents in the presence of aluminum triethyl to form the borohydrides of sodium and potassium, respectively.
