Radiative self-polarization of particles in the relativistic rigid rotator model

Abstract

The radiative self-polarization of electrons induced by spontaneous emission is studied using the relativistic rigid rotator model. It is shown that a high degree of polarization of the electrons is predicted in this model if a vector spin operator is used.
