Formation of a π-crotyl complex of Ti (III) in the reaction between (π-C5H5)2TiCl2 and EtMgBr

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    A π-crotyl derivative of Ti(III) is formed on interaction of (π-C2H5)2TiCl2 with EtMgBr.

  2. 2.

    The crotyl grouping is formed from two molecules of ethylene produced in the course of the reaction.
