Instrument for resonance tests on polymer materials

Abstract

The operating principles and technical characteristics of a new testing instrument, the 1ChZ-7F, are briefly described. This instrument, developed at the Institute of Polymer Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Latvian SSR, Riga, measures the various natural frequency modes and the logarithmic decrement of intermediate products and finished parts made of polymer and other materials. Its specific advantages over similar instruments are discussed.
