Calculation of the residual stresses in coiled objects made on the layer-by-layer hardening principle

Abstract

The effect of the technological mode of winding with layer-by-layer hardening on the residual-stress distribution in coiled glass-plastic objects is analyzed by the method outlined in [1, 2]. The computing scheme of [3, 4] is used to calculate the stresses arising at the winding stage. The results are compared with experimental data.
