Conclusions
- 1.
The catalytic dehydrochlorination of polychloroalkanes with the structure Cl(CH2CH2)mCH2CH2·CCl2CH2CHClX, where m=0.1; X=H, Cl, CH3, under the action of Friedel-Crafts catalysts was studied.
- 2.
Dehydrochlorination proceeds selectively at the expense of the chloromethylene group in the direction of the less chlorinated and longer portion of the molecule; a mixture of cis- and trans-isomers with the structure Cl(CH2CH2)mCH2CH=CClCH2CHClX is formed.
- 3.
An approximate calculation was made of the normal vibrations of cis- and trans-models of the fragment C-CCl=CH-C. cis-trans-Isomers in the polychloroalkenes studied could be identified with the aid of the C-Cl frequencies. On the basis of the IR spectra of the compounds obtained it was established that the mixture formed contains chiefly the trans-isomer.
- 4.
The PMR spectra of 11 polychlorohydrocarbons were studied. The parameters of the PMR spectra characterizing varied chlorine-containing groups and their mutual influence were established.
