Conclusions
- 1.
Under isothermal conditions for the combustion of hydrogen with fluorine in the presence of oxygen a superequilibrium concentration of hydrogen atoms was observed.
- 2.
The upper limit for spontaneous ignition was observed by means of a sharp decrease in the rate of accumulation of HO2 radicals in a mixture of hydrogen, fluorine, and oxygen. This proves that within the spontaneous-ignition peninsula a reaction occurs which efficiently generates atoms.
