Synthesis and catalytic properties of π-allyl complexes of palladium (II) in the oligomerization of 1,3-butadiene

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    A number of mono- and binuclear π-allyl complexes of Pd(II) with oxygen-, nitrogen-, and sulfur-containing ligands were synthesized.

  2. 2.

    A linear trimer of butadiene, viz., 1,3,6,10-dodecatetraene, is obtained in the presence of a Pd(II) complex with the monoethyl pyrazine-2,3-diearboxylate anion.

  3. 3.

    A method for the conversion of PD(II) π-allyl complexes to catalytically active forms is proposed for the oligomerization of 1,3-butadiene through the action of aprotic dipolar solvents.
