Conclusions

  1. 1.

    With the aid of C14-labeling it was shown that in the pyrolysis of tertiary acetylenic alcohol acetoacetates the acetoacetic residue adds through the carbon of its methylne group to the acetylenic carbon atom.

     
  2. 2.

    A mechanism is proposed for the pyrolytic transformation of acetoacetates of tertiary acetylenic cycloaliphatic alcohols into dienic ketones.
