Abstract

A solution has been found, by the method of finite integral transformations, of the heat conduction equation for a hollow cylinder, heated asymmetrically around its perimeter, under general boundary conditions. Formulas are given which reduce the problem with non-uniform boundary conditions to an equivalent problem with uniform boundary conditions.
