Annealing of magnetically soft iron

Summary

To obtain the highest toughness and the greatest magnetic softness, parts of technically pure iron should, after annealing, be slowly cooled in the furnace to 350–400°C (660–750°F), and then cooled rapidly in air from this temperature.
