Mechanism of metal powder rolling in the initial, nonsteady-state stage
Theory and Technology of the Component Formation Process
Received:
Conclusions
- 1.
A technique has been developed for the investigation of structural deformation in the rolling of metal powders, permitting direct observation of slip lines.
- 2.
It has been established that three-1) feed, 2) shear strain, and 3) densification-zones, characterized by widely differing modes of powder deformation, are formed in the initial, nonsteady-state stage of powder rolling.
