Conclusions

A promising variation of strengthening of type St3sp steel is thermomechanical treatment, controlled rolling with intermediate recrystallization. With it the strength of the steel increases by 95–200 N/mm2, the 50% ductile-to-brittle transition temperature drops by 60°C, and the work for crack development doubles in comparison with these properties of steel in the hot rolled condition.
