Additional information

This paper is a continuation of the discussion, initiated by A. A. Abagyan, G. I. Biryukov, S. V. Bryunin, et al. in their paper “Status and problems of the development of nuclear power in the USSR” (Atomnaya Énergiya,69, No. 2, 67–79, February, 1991), of the prospects for further development of nuclear power. It is the hope of the editorial staff that discussions of this important subject will continue.
