Complexes of titanium(IV) chloride with monodentate schiff bases

Summary

The reaction of titanium tetrachloride withN-phenyl benzalaldimine and some of its monomethylated and dimethylated derivatives, L, yields complexes of general formulae TiCl4 · 2L and/or TiCl4 · L depending on L. These complexes have been characterized by analysis and by i.r., Raman and1H n.m.r. spectroscopy.
