Determination of dimethylthallium ions by means of secondary ion mass spectrometry after extraction
Summary
The principle of a selective determination of dimethylthallium ions is described. In presence of EDTA the dimethyl thallium species are extracted as the 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol complexes in chloroform and the organic phase is analysed by means of secondary ion mass spectrometry.
