Über die Langerhans-Zellorganelle bei Morbus Letterer-Siwe

Zusammenfassung

Beschrieben werden die elektronenmikroskopischen Eigenschaften der Langerhans-Zellorganellen (LZO) enthaltenden Zellen in Hautläsionen von Morbus Letterer-Siwe. Zur Untersuchung kamen nach der Routine-methode aufgearbeitete Präparate (Glutaraldehyd-OsO4) und mit einem Osmium-Zinkjodid-Gemisch (OsO4ZnJ2) fixierte Präparate. Dabei zeigen sich wesentliche Unterschiede zwischen den LZO in den dermalen Histiocyten und in den epidermalen Langerhans-Zellen. Während die epidermalen LZO in der Regel osmiumzinkjodid-positiv sind, verhalten sich die dermalen LZO negativ. Die Bedeutung dieses Befundes und die derzeit noch fragwürdige Identität sogenannter Langerhans-Zellorganellen werden diskutiert.

Summary

Fixation with osmium zinc iodide for 24 h at room temperature strikingly stains the periodic central lamella of Langerhans cell organelles. Using this electron histochemical technique as well as routine Glutaraldehyde osmic acid fixation, the Langerhans cell organelles in epidermal Langerhans cells and in histocytes in two patients with Letterer Siwe's disease were examined. With routine Glutaraldehyde osmic acid fixation, numerous Langerhans cell organelles were seen in epidermal Langerhans cells as well as in histiocytic cells of the dermis, but with the osmium zinc iodide technique, only epidermal Langerhans cell granules took the stain: Langerhans cell organelles in dermal histiocytes were not stainable with the osmium zinc iodide technique. The significance of this different electron histochemical behaviour of epidermal and dermal Langerhans cell organelles is discussed. The pros and cons of a possible specifity of Langerhans cell organelles are elaborated.
