Summary

A method has been developed for the titration of oxalate with cerium (IV) sulphate using methyl orange as an internal indicator at 65–70°C in 1–2 N hydrochloric or perchloric acid medium. Nitric acid is not suitable as a medium for the titration.

Zusammenfassung

Oxalat kann mit Cer(IV)-sulfatlösung bei 65–70°C in 1–2 n salzoder perchlorsaurer Lösung unter Verwendung von Methylorange als innerem Indicator titriert werden. In salpetersaurer Lösung kann die Bestimmung nicht durchgeführt werden.
