Asymptotic equivalence between the hydrodynamic and kinetic stages for the Lorentz model

Abstract

The asymptotic equivalence between the kinetic and hydrodynamic evolutions for the Lorentz model in a semi-infinite medium with a perfectly reflecting boundary is proved in a Hilbert space formalism.
