Article

Summary

Four closely related strains of TMV, which differ in the ability to kill infected turkish tobacco leaves, were compared cytologically and with respect to the amounts of soluble and insoluble coat proteins synthesized. The results suggest that the cytopathic effects might be caused by coat proteins with unusual solubility properties.
